For a decade, Street Food Cinema has invited Angelenos to enjoy delicious meals, films and fun—from Arcadia to Manhattan Beach, Glendale and Pacific Palisades.
Palisadians can join the festivities Saturday evening, July 24, to celebrate 10 years of Street Food Cinema with a socially distanced outdoor movie screening of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” at Will Rogers State Historic Park.
“Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid are the leaders of a band of outlaws,” according to a summary on IMDb. “After a train robbery goes wrong they find themselves on the run with a posse hard on their heels. Their solution—escape to Bolivia.”
The 1969 classic film, directed by George Roy Hill and written by William Goldman, stars Paul Newman as Butch Cassidy, Robert Redford as The Sundance Kid and Katharine Ross as Etta Place.
The film has earned over 20 awards, including four Academy Awards, a Golden Globe, a Grammy and more.
Palisadians will surely find a treat to enjoy, as a number of food trucks will sell fare at the event, including Thai Mex Cocina, Tokyo Style Food Truck and Catering, StopBy Cafe, La La Lasagna and Dulce Europa for an assortment of desserts.
The event will be emceed by Grant Cotter with music from Patrolled by Radar.
The event is dog friendly but chairs taller than six inches off the ground are not allowed.
Tickets for this event are being offered in two formats: Attendees can reserve a socially distanced pod for a group of up to six people or purchase a single ticket for the fully vaccinated section. Guests with tickets for the fully vaccinated section will be required to present a valid form of identification and their COVID-19 vaccine card at check-in, according to the website.
