Scoring has not been a problem this season for the Palisades High boys soccer team and that trend continued last Wednesday against Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies.
Josh Barad scored two early goals and Shayan Safa tucked a high shot just under the crossbar in the 23rd minute to make it 3-0. In the second half, Jackson Page drilled a low right-footed shot off the post and in and Daniel Colindres scored on a shot from 35 yards out to cap the Dolphins’ 5-0 victory. They entered yesterday’s matchup at Venice having scored 29 goals in eight games, an average of 3.6 per contest. Palisades is back at home Monday afternoon against Fairfax.
Meanwhile, the Pali High girls squad also improved to 2-0 in league with a 7-0 triumph over the Unicorns. Jordan Darrow netted three goals, all assisted by Sierra Clarke, and added two assists. Meghan Jones, Nicole Paul, Kayden Graves and Sammy Truman also scored for the Dolphins, who improved to 3-2-2l. Palisades travels to Fairfax on Friday.
