When she was a sophomore at Palisades High in the fall of 2015, Caroline Vincent won the City Individual singles title and led the Dolphins to the team championship. Six years later she wears a different uniform, but her penchant for winning remains the same on the court and in the classroom.
Now co-captain of the Army women’s team at West Point, Vincent begins her senior season this weekend full of confidence after posting an 8-1 record across three fall competitions.
After being named a General William E. Read Pentathlete Award winner in October for achieving a Term Quality Point Average of 4.00 or greater and a letter grade of A- or better in all academic, physical, military science, and military development courses, Vincent was named a recipient of the Schwarzman Scholarship in December—one of only 144 global recipients of the esteemed honor.
Besides being the Black Knights’ tennis team captain, Vincent studies Engineering Management, serves as Battalion Commander and is the school’s Morale and Recreation Leader. She will serve as a Cyber Officer in the United States Army upon her graduation.
Vincent, who grew up in the Highlands, compiled an 11-9 singles record and a 17-6 mark in doubles a a freshman. As a sophomore she went 10-8 in singles and 16-6 in doubles while making the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. As a junior, she finished 8-2 in singles and 10-2 in doubles.
