Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz is going to the Super Bowl for the second straight year. However, this time he could be watching next Sunday’s game in Tampa, not playing in it.
Schwartz started at right tackle in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIV victory over San Francisco last February but he has been on injured reserve with a back injury. The 2018 All-Pro last played in Week 6.
Schwartz, 31, is a nine-year NFL veteran. He was named City Section Offensive Lineman of the Year as a senior at Palisades High in 2006.
