Paul Revere Middle School student Cody Elkins certainly brought his ‘A’ game to the World Outdoor Racquetball National Championships last weekend at Marina Park in Huntington Beach, where he went undefeated in nine matches en route to winning the Boys 12, Boys 16, Junior 10-12 combined and Junior 14-18 combined singles titles.
The younger brother of Dane Elkins, who won the Post Cup Award in the spring as the outstanding senior athlete at Palisades High, Cody beat Christian Carson (son of five-time singles world champion Rocky Carson) of Ladera Ranch 15-12 in the round robin 12-14 division and beat Michelle Norris of Florida to capture the 14-and-over division.
Cody won the Boys 12s singles title and was third in the Boys 14s at the SoCal Junior State Championships in Fountain Valley in March.
