
Robert Oliver Scheiperpeter passed away in his assisted living facility, Nazareth House, February 7.
He was born June 16, 1925. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice (August 24, 2019). He is survived by his daughters Nancy (Jack) and Diane (Jeff) and his sons Steve (Ellen) and Carl (Michele, deceased 2007), seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Robert was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He and Alice moved to Pacific Palisades in 1956.
He served in the U.S. Navy 1944-46 on the USS ALHENA. His ship was at Iwo Jima during the battle of January, 1945, taking on wounded and dead Marines. Upon discharge, he completed his degree at St. Louis University.
He was very active in both Corpus Christi Elementary School while the kids were in attendance and Corpus Christi Church. He also coached boys’ Little League teams.
His first love was family. He would always spend time creating many fun projects with them. He loved going to weekly garage sales.
He would enter many contests, including ones through the Palisadian-Post. The 4th of July parade/run was celebrated by all family members annually in their front yard on Sunset Boulevard.
