While some may argue that Jennifer Garner is making a comeback in today’s unforgiving Hollywood, she actually never left and still possesses the power to make everyone fall in love with her just by clapping at the Oscars.
The Houston-born actress is picking up right where she left off and is set to star in the upcoming “Camping” TV series and action thriller “Peppermint.”
She is currently in theaters playing a caring mother in “Love, Simon”—a character, some say, closer to who she is in real life than, say, the butt-kicking, knife-wielding “Elektra.”
The film revolves around Simon, a gay teenager, played by Nick Robinson from “Jurassic World,” battling with accepting his identity and revealing his secret.
Garner, in real life mother to whiplash-smart kids, plays a supportive parent alongside “Transformers” star Josh Duhamel and, at the same time, helps director Greg Berlanti step away from his usual superhero projects like “The Flash” and “Green Lantern.”
Lately, Palisadians have been imploring Garner to take on a role she’s never played before: honorary mayor.
What makes her a viable candidate?
Aside from having super ninja powers that she got obviously retained from “Alias” and “Elektra,” Garner is heavily involved in the Palisades community, supporting her daughters at local events, regularly attending church on Sundays despite paparazzi buzzflies and using her super-stardom to help her kids sell Girl Scout cookies.
It’s a no-brainer.
