Marquez Elementary Charter School students, parents, teachers and staff celebrated pollinators and sustainable living at the first ever Wings & Things festival on campus on Saturday, April 2 as part of the third installment in The Marquez Experience series.
In attendance were State Senator Ben Allen and Assemblymember Richard Bloom, with Tracy Newman headlining the entertainment and performing current hits and songs from her new children’s CD “I Can Swing Forever.”
Marquez grad Trinity Rose and Chris Nordlinger were the opening acts at the event designed to support awareness for sustainability and pollinators to protect a third of our global food supply at risk. Guests enjoyed music, food, art and eco-education alongside state representatives at the fun-filled festival.
