The second week of the Pacific Palisades Baseball Association season is udnerway at the Field of Dreams and after three games only two teams were still undefeated: the Pinto Division Dodgers and Tigers.
Entering play Tuesday the Tigers (3-0) held a one-game lead over the Yankees in the American League while the Dodgers held a one-game lead over the Phillies in the National League. After opening the season with an extra-inning triumph over the Yankees, the Tigers posted back-to-back interleague wins against the Cubs. The Dodgers followed a 10-1 victory over the Phillies with back-to-back interleague wins against the Orioles.
In the Mustang Division, the Orioles, Tigers and Red Sox began the week in a three-way tie atop the American League at 2-1 while the CubsĀ (2-1) held a one-game lead over the Cardinals, Dodgers andĀ Phillies.
In the Bronco Division, the Orioles won their opener 11-7 against the Red Sox, then split two interleague games with the Dodgers to take a one-game lead over the Red Sox, Yankees and Tigers in the American League. The Cardinals, Cubs and Dodgers began the week in a three-way tie atop the National League at 2-1, one game ahead of the Phillies.
Interleague play continues Saturday when the Red Sox play the Dodgers, the Cardinals play the Tigers, the Phillies play the Orioles and the Yankees play the Cubs. The Pinto Yankees, Mustang Red Sox and Bronco Tigers are the defending champions.
