Actress Michelle Pfeiffer and TV producer David E. Kelley recently sold their French-style estate for $25 million—earning the celebrity couple a $2.75 million profit after purchasing the home for $22.5 million in January 2020.
Located near The Riviera Country Club, the luxury residence boasts seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms spread out over 10,300 square feet. Substantial renovations expanded the property size to more than twice the previous footprint when it sold for less than $8 million in 2016. The couple put the home on the market in July, according to Mansion Global.
“Envisioned by architect Steve Giannetti, this magnificent home features a stunning design reminiscent of the European countryside with unparalleled views of the Riviera Golf Course,” according to a listing on Realtor.com. “Old-world charm interwoven with modern sensibility, the … house is an embodiment of timeless beauty, focused on suburb craftsmanship and high-end elegants.”
Standout features of the three-story home include carved stone fireplaces that pop up throughout the floor plan, an entertainment space complete with a wine cellar, tasting area and screening room. Outdoors, the estate opens up to a scenic patio, lawn and infinity-edge pool.
“The airy kitchen boasts a LaCanche Sully Range imported from France, built-in Wolf ovens, and more,” the listing stated. “Unobstructed views of outdoor space from the great room offer unrivaled opulence to this architectural masterpiece. To add, kitchen views extend over the sweeping landscape of The Riviera Country Club and beautiful Pacific Ocean.”
Cindy Ambuehl of Compass held the listing, while Noah Marc and Kyle Dordick with Hilton & Hyland represented the buyer.
The sale comes on the heels of more real estate sales for the couple: In November 2019, the celebrity duo listed another Mediterranean-style property located in The Riviera for $8.35 million, according to Variety. The couple listed the house a little over a year after purchasing it for $7.7 million in an off-market deal.
The couple also sold another Palisades home for $9.1 million to their neighbor Jim Crane, owner of the Houston Astros, according to Variety. The 3,211-square-foot residence has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The couple reportedly paid $8.15 million for the home.
Television producer Kelley has won 11 Emmys for TV writing. Pfeiffer is an award-winning actress, well known for her role in the 1983 film “Scarface” and her recent role as Frances Price in “French Exit.”
