A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Monday at the intersection of Temescal Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway. She was transported to a hospital via a Los Angeles Fire Department helicopter in serious but stable condition.
“The incident involved two vehicles,” Sgt. M. Paytell of the Los Angeles Police Department told the Palisadian-Post. “One vehicle knocked her down and another ran over her legs.”
Paytell said that the pedestrian had stepped out on the crosswalk, but he could not confirm whether the traffic light was green in her direction. The incident was reported at about 9:29 a.m., and firefighters from Station 23 were first to respond.
Traffic was delayed on both northbound and southbound lanes of PCH as police conducted their investigation. No arrests were made, and the drivers of both vehicles were questioned and released.
