After owning a home in Pacific Palisades for 10 years, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has purchased a $52 million home in Bel Air, according to a report in Dirt.
Feige has produced each Marvel Cinematic Universe film since 2008 when he was involved with “Iron Man,” making him the top grossing producer, bringing in more than $25 billion across box offices worldwide.
The home encompasses nearly 20,000 square feet of “tasteful and handcrafted design,” according to the listing. It features 10 bedrooms and 13.5 bathrooms, and was built in 1936 by architect Paul Williams.
“Over 1.1 acres in the heart of Bel Air offering privacy and stunning views of [the] golf course and city beyond,” the listing read.
Most of the rooms throughout the house spill out to covered patios, according to Dirt, as well as formal gardens and grassy laws.
The estate features two kitchens, one of which is a separate catering kitchen, plus a third kitchen in a guest house. There is also a media room, gym, movie theater and private “security suite” designed for a live-in bodyguard.
On the second floor there is a primary suite with dual dressing rooms, as a well as a single bathroom, which is designed with exotic marble and a golden soaking tub, according to Dirt.
The backyard features a large lawn, with an infinity-edge swimming pool and inset spa placed at the far rear of the property. The outside grounds also include a kitchen, built-in barbecue and bar.
“[A] rare combination of scale, quality and location,” the listing concluded. “A+ in every way.”
Feige reportedly purchased the home from Texas-based hedge fund manager Todd Lemkin, who bought it six years ago for $27.6 million. Lemkin and his wife Kasey spent the last several years giving the estate a multimillion-dollar renovation, Dirt reported.
The Lemkins originally listed the home in February for $65 million, according to Dirt.
The listing was held by Drew Fenton and Linda May of Hilton & Hyland.
