The Palisades High boys and girls cross country teams were out in force Saturday morning for the Eagle Invitational at the three-mile Lakes Course in El Segundo.
In the varsity boys red race, Palisades placed third behind El Toro and Crescenta Valley. Lucas Schriver was third in 15:20.5, fellow junior Brett Bailey placed 11th in 15:38.0 and sophomore Noah Wexler was 20th in 15:53.0. Peninsula’s Ewan Macfarlane won in 14:43.0 followed by Santa Monica’s Tristan Amell (15:11.2).
Palisades was sixth in the junior boys race, led by Pablo Sandoval Rivas (19th in 18:02.7), fourth in the sophomore boys race, led by Jose Sevilla (ninth in 17:04.8) and David Tobin (12th in 17:09.2) and eighth overall in the freshman boys race, led by Levy Shaked (16th in 18:11.3).
The Dolphins were sixth in the junior girls race, led by Casandra Hernandez (13th in 21:54.8) and Alicia Sigworth (34th in 23:01.4). Palisades’ sophomore girls were also sixth, led by Scarlett Klein (11th in 22:01.4), and fifth in the freshman girls race, led by Julia Musumeci (31st in 22:52.2), Julia Leviadin (23:32.2) and Naya Ramaswami (23:44.9).
