A childhood dream was realized on Sunday for Palisades High senior offensive and defensive lineman Baraka Beckett, who has committed to continue his football career at UCLA. Beckett had 35 tackles, eight pancake blocks, two sacks and a 35-yard fumble return for a touchdown in 12 games in the fall. He thanked God, his family, his high school teachers, coaches and teammates, new UCLA head coach Chip Kelly and defensive coordinator Jerry Azzinaro.
