The Palisades High girls and boys tennis teams both netted City Section titles last year and members of both squads were recognized for their contributions to the program at postseason parties.
For the girls, who won their fifth straight section crown, freshmen Noe Winter and Halsey Hulse were the Rookies of the Year after teaming up to reach the finals of the City Individual doubles draw.
Most Improved honors went to freshmen Kalea Martin and Emma Akiyama and Most Inspirational honors went to Alex Miller (who teamed with fellow junior Caroline Ross to win the City Individual doubles title) and sophomore Jessica Garff. Captains’ leadership awards went to seniors Maddy Goore and Alex Hart and the team MVPs were twin sisters Ireland and Sophia Amato.
In the spring, the boys beat Granada Hills to claim their 10th consecutive City title thanks to Rookie of the Year Atticus Parker, MVPs Danilo Milic and Lincoln Bellamy, Most Improved Players Nick Arvin, Adam Glickman and Matt Webber. Most Inspirational awards went to Ben Kim and Alex Brous and the Leadership Award went to senior Ethan Subel.
