Five league matches, five runner-up finishes, five different low scorers. That sums up the season so far for the Palisades High girls golf team.
The pattern continued Thursday at Penmar Golf Course, where Alegra Gurian fired a 12-over par 46 to lead the Dolphins, who finished with a nine-hole total of 247, six shots back of first-place Venice.
LACES finished a distant third with a score of 288.
“If only all the girls could be on the same page on the same day,” Coach James Paleno lamented.
Sophia Eberlein and Melanie Matayoshi each shot a 49, Maury Marin shot a 51, Camila Paleno shot a 52 and freshman Abby Brown carded a 53.
The final round of City 3 League play is next Thursday at Penmar and the League Finals are the following week.
