Palisadian Moira Shourie, executive director of Zócalo Public Square, has been selected as a 2021 Sulzberger Fellow at Columbia Journalism School starting this fall.
“The fellows represent emerging leaders at a wide range of news organizations, including media start-ups, nonprofit newsrooms and large international publications,” according to a statement from Columbia.
The 21-week program will allow fellows to focus on innovation and experiential learning to “launch, accelerate and implement a strategic project” that is designed to be central to their organization.
Shourie’s project is to expand Zócalo’s audience reach, awareness, and the impact of the organization’s work in Los Angeles and beyond.
