Palisades Village Green gave away free cherry tomato plants—with 53 plants grown from seed provided by Board Member Betsy Collins and an additional 32 provided by Friends of the Palisades Library President Laura Schneider—to community members and passersby on Sunday, April 25.
“The 85 tomato plants were gone in under an hour,” Palisades Village Green President Marge Gold shared after the giveaway. “We had smiles on our faces as we closed up shop.”
Native Palisadian Spencer Pekar, a Corpus Christi and Palisades Charter High School graduate (Class of 2012), married his best friend and love of his life, Megan Keelan, on April 17 in Nashville where they met as freshmen at Belmont University. Keelan is an associate in the music practice group at the law firm of Loeb & Loeb, while Pekar works for Mandolin, one of the leading platforms in live music streaming.
The McNichol Bernbach Group, which works out of the Pacific Palisades Rodeo Realty office, collected almost 600 pounds of food during an Earth Day Cereal Drive on Saturday, April 24, with donations given to the Food Bank.
Devin McNichol shared that he and Aaron Bernbach were “very happy and proud to help the food bank and have the community be involved,” noting it was a “super awesome turnout.”
