Coronet Debutante Ball Board announced that Palisades residents Suzanne Boone, National Charity League president, and Alice Wilson Gould, 2017 Coronet Debutante Ball Board director, will represent this year’s class of 12 young ladies who will make their debut this fall. Palisades Charter High School senior and advanced choir member Trevor Dalton formed an independent a cappella quintet, comprised of Pali High choir students, to perform at community service organizations. On a Saturday afternoon, Ryan and Lucie Brazier set up a gourmet lemonade stand on Miami Way and Almar Avenue, which brought in many customers, including Lisa Boyle and firefighters from LAFD Station 69. Ryan shared that he’s saving up for his college fund, and Lucie said, “We’re glad the firemen would take time out of their busy schedule to come to our lemonade stand.” The Braziers were helped out by Lars and Annabelle Refnes.
Former Palisades Mayor Jake Steinfeld wrapped the 17th season of Major League Lacrosse in Frisco, Texas, at Jerry Jones’ The Star. The Ohio Machine defeated The Denver Outlaws on CBS Sports. Steinfeld is the founder of the league.
