Palisadian Shaheen Nanji has been appointed secretary of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary during the 2017-18 season. It is a prestigious post: Shaheen has to keep up with not only the orchestra’s recording schedule (LACO has produced 31 albums so far) but also help maintain LACO’s busy touring schedule, which stretches from LA (next stop: The Valley Performing Arts Center for Mozart on Sept. 16) to Europe and Asia.
