Mattress Sale Fundraiser | El Medio Bluffs
On Sunday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Palisades Charter High School gym will be transformed into a mattress showroom for the Just Get Sleep! and Pali High Football fourth annual fundraising mattress sale.
The sale will include brands like Tempur-pedic, Simmons, Beautyrest, Serta, Sealy, Stearns and Foster, and Natura. To date, the program has raised over $600,000 for local schools and charities—including $20,000 for Pali High.
Pali Football and Band will receive between $100 to $800 for every mattress sold. Prices will range from $300 to $3,000 for mattresses that usually retail for $500 to $5,000.
“The Pacific Palisades community has always been unbelievably supportive of our program,” Just Get Sleep! Director Joseph Armetta shared ahead of the event. “From helping the residents of the Palisades enjoy a superior experience finding the mattress of their dreams to raising tens of thousands of dollars for Pali HS programs, we always look forward to this event.”

Measles Outbreak | Los Angeles
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is investigating a number of reports of measles in Los Angeles County residents, according to a press release.
The investigation includes four confirmed local outbreaks that were linked to one another after international travel. The Department of Public Health urges residents who have not been fully immunized against measles with two doses of the measles immunization to “contact their healthcare provider to get fully immunized in order to better protect their individual health and to prevent the spread of measles to others.”
“We will likely see additional measles cases in Los Angeles County, so it is important if you or someone you know has the symptoms of measles or has been exposed to measles to contact your healthcare provider by phone right away before seeking treatment,” said Muntu Davis, MD, MPH, Los Angeles County health officer.
