Park Advisory Board | Pacific Palisades
On Wednesday, April 17, Raul Leon, Principal Grounds Maintenance Supervisor of the Pacific Maintenance division, is slated to attend the Pacific Palisades Park Advisory Board meeting to present a potential plan to move six dumpsters that are currently at Palisades Recreation Center to a new site on Temescal Canyon Road.
“The PAB on the 17th is only serving as a vehicle to garner community input of the idea,” Palisades Recreation Center Director Erich Haas shared ahead of the meeting. “Nothing more and nothing less.”
Community members with concerns or questions about the potential move are encouraged to attend the meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at the rec center.

‘Clybourne Park’ | Via Mesa
Performances of the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning “Clybourne Park” at Pierson Playhouse are underway.
“Written as a ‘sequel’ to ‘A Raisin in the Sun,’ ‘Clybourne Park’ explodes into two outrageous acts set 50 years apart,” a press release revealed. “Act One takes place in 1959, as nervous community leaders anxiously try to stop the sale of a home to a black family. Act Two is set in the same house in the present day, as the now predominantly African-American neighborhood battles to holds its ground in the face of gentrification.”
Shows will take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. The cast will stay after the show on Saturday, April 13, for a Talk Back.
