Farmers Market to Debut March 3 | The Highlands
The Highlands Farmers Market will begin operation this Sunday, March 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.—rain or shine, Highlands Community Center General Manager Joe Cirillo confirmed.
The market, which will feature about 16 vendors, will take place at 1515 Palisades Drive, and is being put on by Raw Inspiration, the company behind the Pacific Palisades Farmers Market at Palisades Charter High School.

Garden Club | Pacific Palisades
Community members are invited to attend the Pacific Palisades Garden Club’s regular monthly meeting on Monday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the Pacific Palisades Woman’s Club.
This month’s guest speaker will be Mayita Dinos who will speak about the three-acre botanical Arlington Garden in Pasadena, which Dinos designed.
The Garden Club is a nonprofit organization started more than 50 years ago. Funds generated from grants, membership donations, bequests, private donations and the Spring Garden Tour enable the club to help create and maintain “edible gardens” in schools, civic beautification projects, and plant conservation and restoration efforts in the nearby mountains.

Monday Family Feasts | Palisades Village
Starting Monday, March 4, Porta Via Palisades is launching Monday Family Feasts.
“Available for parties four or more, these shared plates of Porta Via favorites will be served every Monday from 5 p.m. until closing at a special price of $29 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under,” the restaurant shared ahead of the launch.
Items on the March menu are Caesar Salad, Penne Pomodoro, Sautéed Market Vegetables, Braised Short Ribs, Roasted Lake Superior White Fish and Chocolate Mousse Cake.
Porta Via is also launching a Happy Hour with food and drink specials served at the bar from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Palisades Charter High School will host Jen Kaifesh, owner/founder of Great Expectations College Prep, on March 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. to speak about how to strengthen a college application with courses and exams that colleges value.

NAMI Support Group | Upper El Medio
The National Alliance on Mental Illness Family Support Group, a free meeting for family members and caregivers of individuals with a mental illness, will meet at Palisades Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 2, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The group is a place where “family members can talk frankly about their challenges and help one another through their learned wisdom,” a NAMI representative shared ahead of the gathering. “These meetings are confidential and facilitated by trained NAMI members and participants are encouraged to share actively in the work of the group.”
NAMI meets on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
