Library Book Sale Part Two | The Village
Due to the November Great Book Sale having to close early amid poor air quality, the Palisades Branch Library is hosting another sale on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be plenty of gently used contemporary fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, classics, children’s stories, humor books and more. Proceeds support library programs.

Help 4 the Hungry | The Village
NBC4 is teaming up with Ralphs—including the Pacific Palisades location—and Food 4 Less supermarkets throughout Southern California to provide Help 4 the Hungry through Dec. 24.
Shoppers can help people in need as well as those displaced by the fires by making a $5 or $10 donation at check out. All proceeds will go to regional food banks in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.

Heavy Rain and Flood Warning | Malibu
According to the National Weather Service, moderate to heavy rain is forecast in the Malibu area on Thursday, Nov. 29. Residents are advised to prepare for potential flooding, mudslides, power outages, road closures and possibly evacuation orders. Check malibucity.org for updated information.

Inaugural Christmas Stroll | The Village
The Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce will host the first-ever Christmas Stroll throughout the Palisades on Friday, Nov. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Deemed a “fun, family, walkable, festive shopping experience,” the stroll will include a map that will be stamped by participating businesses that will be entered into a drawing for a bag of surprises from local businesses. Stores will also serve refreshments and have Christmas trees decorated by employees, which shoppers can vote for their favorite.

Palisades Symphony Performance | The Village
On Sunday, Dec. 2, the community is invited to attend a free performance by Palisades Symphony at the Community United Methodist Church, located at 801 Via De La Paz.
Under the direction of Joel B. Lish, the symphony will perform G.F. Handel’s “Alexander’s Feast,” with soprano Coril Prochnow, alto Megan Gillespie, tenor Manfred Anaya and bass Eric Castro.
The performance begins at 7:30 p.m.
