Rustic Nights Coming Soon
Beach Robbery in Broad Daylight | Pacific Palisades
On Thursday, Sept. 6, at approximately 4 p.m., a Pacific Palisades resident was robbed at Will Rogers State Beach while he was swimming.
“The guy, who was not a vagrant, but dressed like a beachgoer, canvassed my area and then took my bag and ran off across the beach, and under the PCH Tunnel [Roosevelt] up in front of SHOREbar and Giorgio Baldi, and then he was gone,” the resident said in email correspondence with the Palisadian-Post.
His bag was stolen, including car keys. On a follow-up phone call, the resident further described the thief as “African-American under 40.” Lifeguards at the beach were notified and a report was filed with the West Bureau LAPD Division.
