Temescal Canyon Road | Pacific Palisades
Construction will be taking place on Temescal Canyon Road on Saturday, November 19, and Sunday, November 20, according to Noah Fleishman, district direct & LAX community liaison for Councilmember Mike Bonin’s office.
“The first phase will require preparation of the existing roadway by cold milling the streets Saturday, November 5, and Saturday, November [19],” Fleishman wrote. “The final phase will require paving of the existing roadway and resurfacing the street Sunday, November 6, and Sunday, November [20].”
StreetsLA shared plans to close all lanes of Temescal Canyon Road from PCH to Bowdoin Street on November 5 and 6. On November 19 and 20, a lane of traffic in both directions was slated to be open while work is in progress.
“Temescal Canyon Road requires repair as the segment from PCH to Bowdoin Street was last repaved in April 2003, and the segment from Bowdoin Street to Sunset was last repaved in August 1990,” Fleishman continued. “StreetsLA determined the street has a ‘poor’ Pavement Condition Index score and requires reconstruction to prevent a failure in the future.”
Those driving through the area are urged to take alternate routes, including Sunset or Chautauqua boulevards.

Palisades Podcast | Pacific Palisades
The November edition of Palisades Podcast, hosted by community members Maryam Zar and Steve Cron, will feature Council District 11 Candidate Traci Park.
“Traci ran a one-and-a-half-year-long campaign as a political outsider for the CD 11 seat at LA City Council, representing Pacific Palisades and other communities in the district,” Zar shared. “She is originally from Venice, but throughout the course of the campaign, became a Palisades fixture, and spent considerable time and energy learning about our issues.”
The podcast, according to Zar, will focus on Park as a person—not her political campaign—and the trajectory of her life that landed her here.
