PPTFH Community Meeting | Pacific Palisades
The Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness will host an online community meeting Monday, September 26, from 7 to 8:15 p.m. on the topic of “intervening before homelessness happens.”
“Despite the number of unhoused people who daily are helped to move into housing by our housing agencies, the net numbers of homeless people on LA’s streets are reportedly growing at a conservative estimate of 20 people a day,” according to information provided by PPTFH. “Can anything be done to reverse this deeply concerning trend?”
Featuring guest speaker Janey Rountree—executive director of the Policy Lab at UCLA—the meeting is slated to cover the Policy Lab’s “innovative predictive modeling” that is enabling Los Angeles’ social work teams to focus on individuals and prevent them falling into homelessness.
