Dog Adoption Event | The Highlands
Collar & Leash Palisades is partnering with Big Love Animal Rescue to host a dog adoption event from 11 to 2 on Saturday, October 2.
“Come and meet our available pups,” a flyer for the event encouraged.
The adoption event will take place at the Highlands store, located at 518 Palisades Drive.

Refillery LA Visit | Pacific Palisades
The Refillery LA truck will be present at the Temescal Canyon Road farmers market on Thursday, September 30, between 3 and 5 p.m. The truck is a “mobile refill station offering eco-friendly soaps, detergents, personal care products and more,” according its website.
Those who wish to visit the truck can either bring their own container or purchase one at the mobile refill station. Refills are sold by the ounce.
The market is located about one-half of a mile up Temescal from Pacific Coast Highway and about one-third of a mile south of Bowdoin Street on the east side of the road.

Palisadian Ella Zarky to be Honored | Pacific Palisades
Palisadian Ella Zarky will be honored at the National MS Society’s Southern California Chapter’s Los Angeles Dinner of Champions benefit on Thursday, September 30, beginning at 6 p.m.
“The National MS Society of Southern California is so grateful to have the opportunity to honor Ella Zarky’s legacy of leadership, philanthropy and unrelenting dedication to those living with MS with our 2021 Impact Award,” according to event organizers. “The award honors an individual who has a long-standing partnership with the National MS Society and whose considerable philanthropic activities strengthen our community at large.”
The 43rd annual Dinner of Champions will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and take place at the Skirball Cultural Center in the Mark Taper Courtyard.

Dine LA Restaurant Week | Palisades Village
The Draycott, located in Palisades Village, is participating in the upcoming fall edition of Dine LA Restaurant Week, which runs October 1 through 15.
“With an end to summer on the horizon and a season of celebratory dining around the corner, Dine LA is kicking things off early, formally announcing the dates for the highly anticipated return of Dine LA Restaurant Week and its fall 2021 program,” according to organizers. “The 15-day event, currently open for registration, will once again showcase hundreds of Los Angeles’ most beloved restaurants and highlight the city’s global variety of cuisines and diversity of dining styles.”
The Draycott will offer a special lunch menu Monday to Friday. Diners will choose to start with either English Pea Dip or Heirloom Tomato & Cucumber Greek, followed by a choice of Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich with fennel slaw and potato crisps or Grilled Branzino with shaved fennel salad and herb oil. The meal will conclude with Eton Mess, featuring local berries, meringue and cream.
