Matt Damon has listed his seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom home in Pacific Palisades for $21 million, according to a report from Dirt.
The 13,508-square-foot Upper Riviera home where Damon resides with his wife, Luciana Barroso, features a gym, home theater, poolside dining area and private massage room.
“Situated on an ultra-private homesite on one of Pacific Palisades’ premier streets, this extraordinary contemporary retreat showcases masterful craftmanship and exceptional amenities for entertaining and relaxation,” the listing boasts. “Surrounded by lush landscaping, mature trees and flat, grassy yards, the .68-acre estate is among the most spacious homesites in the Upper Riviera neighborhood.”
The “Zen-inspired, architectural masterpiece” is the work of Grant Kirkpatrick with KAA Designs, using a mix of materials, including warm words and natural stone—on display immediately and also within the house.
The interior features open-plan living spaces, as well as “artful details” and a central, light-filled atrium, complete with 35-foot mahogany vaulted ceilings.
Additional indoor amenities include a game room, bar, office, staff quarters, and wine storage and tasting room. Outdoors includes a children’s play area, pool, spa, cascading waterfall, koi pond and Hawaiian-inspired lanai, designed with a covered lounge and al fresco dining terrace.
“Capturing leafy property and treetop views from near every room,” the listing concludes, “this masterfully designed estate offers absolute privacy, serenity and resort-style living, moments from world-class shopping, dining and entertainment at Palisades Village, Brentwood, Santa Monica and The Riviera Country Club.”
The home is listed with Eric Haskell with The Agency.
Damon and Barroso, who have been married since 2005, remain owners of a duplex condo in New York, acquired in 2018. The couple has been reported to be looking to relocate or share their time in Australia—most recently with a two-week quarantine ahead of when Damon begins to film the next “Thor” movie.
The actor became a household name in 1997 when he and fellow Palisadian Ben Affleck wrote and co-starred in “Good Will Hunting,” taking home Academy and Golden Globe awards for Best Screenplay. He is also known for his starring roles as Jason Bourne in the “Bourne” franchise and in the “Ocean’s” trilogy.
