Marilyn “Mimi” Tennant passed away on December 30, 2018, at the age of 91 in Pacific Palisades.
She was born on December 19, 1927, in Columbus, Ohio.
She was the daughter of Rear Admiral Austen Magly and Adaline (Drake) Magly.
Mimi graduated from Stanford University with a BA. It was at Stanford that Mimi met her future husband, Theodore “Ted” Tennant.
Mimi and Ted purchased a home here in 1961 and became members of the Corpus Christi Parish. Their four kids all attended Corpus Christi School.

She was also an active member for many years in the Mabel Mosler Guild for St. Anne’s. Her husband Ted was an integral part of the American Legion in Pacific Palisades and the Pacific Palisades Parade Association.
After her kids were raised, she decided to go to work and began her career at Henshey’s in Santa Monica, and went on to be an editor for the Merritt Company in Santa Monica.
Mimi was the best mother, grandmother and friend that anyone could hope for. She was warm, loving, kind and generous had a wonderful sense of humor and universally loved—we will all miss her so.
