Holiday Gala
Dear Pacific Palisades,
It is truly my honor to preside over our back in-person annual Pacific Palisades Community Council Holiday Dinner & Awards Gala, hosted this year at Temescal Canyon Gateway Park on December 8.
Our honorees this year include Mike Lanning for his extraordinary service to Boy Scout troops over the course of decades; Jim Cragg, Cindy Simon, Tracey Price and Hazel Tate for their innovative contributions to the community in meaningful ways that haven’t gone unnoticed; and the marvelous Pacific Palisades Historical Society Centennial Celebration Committee, in its entirety, for helping the Palisades proudly celebrate its 100th anniversary.
With this group of remarkable Palisadians upon whom we will bestow the honors of Citizen of the Year, Golden Sparkplug and Pride of the Palisades, respectively, I am thrilled to be able to present them all with PPCC plaques and awards, and welcome all our electeds to present our honorees with certificates and scrolls.
This year, as you all know, we have a handful of new elected officials that PPCC will be working to meet and bring into the fold of our community issues. We have invited them all to our annual event and hope to see Councilmember Elect Traci Park, Assemblymember Elect Jacqui Irwin, County Supervisor Elect Lindsey Horvath and perhaps even Mayor Elect Karen Bass and their staff at our event.
Please join us if you can—or send a congratulatory email to our honorees at info@pacpalicc.org. We will make sure they receive your messages, and we wish you all a wonderful holiday season
Note: Mark your calendars to join the next PPCC meeting on January 12, 2023. See you all in the new year.
