County public health officials are cautioning visitors to L.A. County’s beaches , including Will Rogers State Beach, to be careful of swimming, surfing and playing in ocean waters around discharging drains because of recent rains until at least Tuesday, Jan. 13.
Bacteria, debris, trash and other public health hazards from city streets and mountain areas are likely to enter water through these outlets, said Dr. Jeffrey Gunzenhauser, L.A. County interim health officer, in a news statement.
The advisory is expected to remain in effect until at least Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m. and may be extended depending on any additional rainfall, according to public health officials.
