The newest tenant to be confirmed for Rick Caruso’s Palisades Village project is Jennifer Meyer, the acclaimed jewelry designer.
Meyer is an Angeleno who has been creating delicate yet substantial pieces since she was 6 years old. She has won accolades such as Jeweler of the Year in US Magazine and has garnered recognition from the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.
She created the heart-shaped locket Tobey Maguire gave Kirsten Dunst in “Spider-Man 3” and designed Jennifer Aniston’s wedding ring when she married Justin Theroux in 2015.
Meyer has also created a line for Barney’s New York, a 12-piece, ready-to-wear fall collection called Barney’s New York Jennifer Meyer.
But the 500-square-foot boutique in Palisades Village will be Meyer’s first retail outlet.
She will be offering both her established line of charms and bracelets, including, fans hope, her trademark leaf-shaped 18-Karat gold charm that represents “turning over a new leaf,” as well as some limited-edition pieces designed with Palisadians in mind.
“Opening my own store has always been a dream in the back of my mind,” Meyer said. “It seemed like just the right moment when the Caruso team came to me.
“Pacific Palisades has always felt like quintessential California, and as I was born and raised in LA, this opportunity was a perfect fit.”
“Jen has impeccable style, and is also an exceptional businesswoman and friend,” said Rick Caruso, CEO and founder of Caruso. “I couldn’t be more thrilled that she’s opening her first store in Pacific Palisades, a town that she’s been a neighbor to throughout her life.”
Jennifer Meyer is the first fashion brand to be announced by Caruso.
She will be joining McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams, Bay Theatre by Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas, Vintage Grocers and the return of a community favorite, Benton’s Sports.
Palisades Village is expected to open in August 2018.
