A former Palisadian man has filed a $2.5 million creditor’s claim against the estate of the late Jeffrey Alan Lash, alleging he was physically abused by and forced to pay millions of dollars to the man neighbors knew as “Skinny Bob.”
Lash, whose decomposing body was found in an SUV on Palisades Drive on July 17, was a self-proclaimed undercover government agent who had amassed over 1,200 firearms, six tons of ammunition and $230,000 in cash in a Highlands condo he shared with Catherine Nebron.
In the creditor’s claim filed in November, Dr. Phillip G. Gorin, a dentist who is Nebron’s ex-husband, alleges Lash put a gun to his head and threatened to kill him if he did not comply with his demands for money.
Gorin’s claim states that he and Nebron were married and living in the two-bedroom, three-bathroom condo on the 1700 block of Palisades Drive when Lash moved in about 17 years ago.
According to the creditor’s claim, Lash told Gorin he performed “anti-terrorism missions for the government, and that he needed a secure location on a temporary basis to prepare for his upcoming projects.”
When Gorin later questioned Lash about his intentions, Lash began to engage in “systematic aggressive physical and economic threats against me,” the claim alleges.
Gorin alleges that Lash confined him to one room of the condo, separate from Nebron.
The Post previously reported that Nebron’s attorney Harland Braun claims his client was also confined to a small area of the condo and was not allowed access to other parts of the residence.
“[Lash] threatened my life and the lives of my family members if I attempted to enter other parts of my home,” Gorin claims.
The claim also alleges Lash demanded that Gorin fork over large sums of cash on a weekly basis. If Gorin didn’t comply, Lash would threaten him. Lash carried a loaded gun or had one within reach at all times, according to the claim.
The dentist alleges that Lash coerced him to quit claim ownership of his condo to his ex-wife Nebron.
He claims Lash’s demands for cash rendered him financially destitute, forcing him to live in his dentist office for nine years.
On an exclusive tour of the Highlands condo in August 2015, the Post noticed men’s clothing in the master bedroom closet and boxes in the garage that private investigator Scott Ross said belonged to Gorin.
“He left here in a hurry,” Ross told the Post.
Gorin’s claim joins creditor claims of more than $45,000 from Toyota Motor Credit Corporation against the estate of Jeffrey Lash.
Gorin’s ex-wife Nebron is expected to file a claim soon for damages to her condo and for money she used to support Lash, according to her attorney Harland Braun.
Michelle L., a woman who was Lash’s longtime love for over 30 years, is also expected to be filing a claim.
In a previous interview with the Post, Michelle said she had given Lash over $1 million to purchase items at his demand and Lash had similarly caused damage to her condo in Los Angeles.
