Jamie Lee Curtis stars in “Scream Queens,” a new horror-comedy anthology series created by Ryan Murphy, the creator of “Glee” and “American Horror Story.”
Curtis, who lives in Pacific Palisades and filmed the 2003 Disney remake of “Freaky Friday” in town, will star alongside “American Horror Story” actress Emma Roberts.
Season one of the 15-episode hour-long series, set on a college campus rocked by a series of murders, launches as a two-part pilot on Fox on Sept. 22.
Gloria Allred Inspires CBS Legal Drama
Last week, Hollywood trade publications reported that CBS is developing a legal drama inspired by famed uber-lawyer and legal commentator Gloria Allred, best known for her representation of female clients in high-profile cases involving Michael Jackson, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the family of Nicole Brown Simpson.
Deborah Schoeneman (“The Newsroom”), Peter Principato (“Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp”) and Paul Young (“Married”) serve as executive producers.
As Variety put it, “the fictional drama revolves around a fearless, outspoken lawyer who takes on the toughest civil rights cases and is masterful at using the media in order to get justice.”
According to a Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles profile on Allred, the attorney divides her time between a Malibu weekend getaway and a Palisades condo that she bought back in the 1980s.
