There was a time that Tyra Banks was known best for her modeling and television work, but her real estate moves are currently attracting the most attention.
Banks listed her three-story, five-bedroom-and-bathroom house on Mount Holyoke Avenue for sale with Sotheby’s International Realty in June, with an asking price of $9.25 million.
It had been purchased as an investment property for $7.35 million in 2014. In July, the house was sold for $8.9 million. The striking, deep-blue contemporary home is designed by architect Douglas Breidenbach, and offers 6,135 square feet of luxury.
There is a gated courtyard, high ceilings, outdoor space for entertaining and cooking, a media room, and sweeping ocean views to seal the deal. “A true trophy property,” the listing declared, very self-aware.
This deal has reinforced the fact that Banks is a real estate mogul in her own right; she’s not going anywhere, and certainly not slowing down in the Palisades.
In fact, Banks currently has another property listed for sale at $4.25 million. At 3,700 square feet, it is distinctly less roomy, though boasts five bedrooms and a convenient location near the main hub of Palisades Village.
When the Caruso shopping center is completed, the placing of both these properties really will be utterly ideal.
