Publisher Roberta Donohue was born and raised in Pacific Palisades, where her father, Rocco Ross, owned the Mobil gas station. In 1972, she was hired by the Palisadian-Post as a typesetter in the Graphics Department. She was promoted to various positions in the business department, eventually becoming publisher in 1987. Married for 39 years, Roberta and her husband, Rich, have a daughter, Jennifer, a graduate of Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. degree in graphic design. An active member of the Chamber of Commerce for more than 25 years, Roberta served as president in 2000 and is an advisor on its executive board. She heads the Classic Car committee for the Community Expo each year and enjoys working with the local auto enthusiasts. Playing an Elf at the annual Holiday Ho!Ho!Ho! event is another one of her favorite volunteer assignments. Roberta received the Mort Farberow Businessperson of the Year Award in 2005. Business manager Cheryel Kanan has been with the Post for 28 years. A 49-year resident of the Palisades, she is proud of her five children and eight grandchildren. Cheryel has been active with the Chamber of Commerce since 1983, served as president in 1993 and received the 2006 Mort Farberow Businessperson of the Year Award. She is a past president of both PAPA (the Fourth of July parade committee) and Las Doradas. Cheryel also serves on various boards, including the Santa Monica Family YMCA and the Assistance League of Santa Monica Night Lights Auxiliary. Receptionist Carolyn Morrison is the newest member of the Post family. A native of Scotland, she graduated from SamoHi and spent many years living in Santa Monica before moving to Kansas. Carolyn loves the ocean and sunsets, and lives near the water in Marina del Rey. She spends her free time walking, knitting, reading and hanging out with her daughter, Katie. Office Manager Sharon Reynolds began in the Classifieds Department in 1989 and took charge of circulation two years later. She moved to California from Missouri when she was a high school junior and met her husband, Jim. They have been married for 49 years and have two daughters, a son, five grandchildren, a great-grandson and a great-granddaughter.
