Since Coach Christian Chambers took command of the Palisades High girls soccer program in 2014, the Dolphins have never failed to win the Western League. They made it nine in a row with a forfeit victory over Westchester on Monday and wrap up the regular season Friday at LACES—a team Palisades beat 4-1 in the first round of league play.
In Chambers’ tenure the Dolphins
have never lost a league contest. Heading into yesterday’s game at University they had won 95 of their 97 league games since the 2014-15 season, including a 48-0 road mark. The only blemishes on an otherwise spotless record were a 1-1 tie with Hamilton in 2015-16 and a scoreless draw with University the following season, both at home.
Palisades has advanced to the City finals twice and the semifinals three times under Chambers but has yet to win a title. The Dolphins are expected to be among the top four seeds in Division I when playoff brackets are released Monday. First round games in the 16-team single-elimination tournament are Feb. 8.
