A little ingenuity goes a long way, as evidenced by the fundraising efforts of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Larry David and Endeavor Client Group President Lloyd Braun, who launched a GoFundMe campaign last week to benefit out-of-work caddies at Riviera Country Club, which has been closed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with orders by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Riviera hosted the PGA TOUR’s Genesis Invitational in February and is the course chosen to host the golf competition at the 2028 Summer Olympics.
David and Braun pledged to raise $100,000 and in seven days the amount was exceeded thanks to donors like Super Bowl quarterback Tom Brady; Endeavor co-CEO Ari Emanuel; Sony’s Josh Greenstein; entrepreneur Richard Rosenblatt; attorney David Aronoff; Bruce Karsh of Oaktree Capital; and $10,000 from Margaret Perenchio.
