Question: Are gas-powered cars the new vinyl?
Sounds like a hostile takeover, eh? The gas-powered vehicle, which has dominated the market for nearly 100 years, is being threatened by a younger, faster, more eager servant than it cares to admit. And that’s a serious problem. Or is it? Are the dinosaur fossil fuels about to become extinct? Well, let’s see …
The one constant in this world is change, and although many fear change, the choice of changing with the times is not really a choice. It’s certain that electric cars (or alternatives) are solidifying their place in this world and seeking the eyeballs of those who wish to make a difference. But some mindsets are still stuck in the old ways.
Muscle car people, horsepower lovers and gas-for-blood diehards are feeling the push of a new consciousness. And that’s exactly what it is, folks. This really isn’t about cars at all so much as it’s calling for a new way of looking at things—a new way of thinking.
For centuries, the idea of “getting” has been the norm, and through this competitive process, this idea was to aggregate as much in this life as possible before you check out into the great car collection in the sky.
But a new thought process is developing from the inside—A stir that is questioning this belief and re-populating the brain engrams of many on the planet. This new belief is the idea of “giving.” Giving to each other, giving to our cities and giving to the planet. And what an idea it is.
It’s safe to say that gas-powered cars are certainly on the way out to make room for conscious cool. No longer is it accepted that cigarette smokers are cool. They are just “unaware” of the damage they are inflicting on themselves. But we don’t judge them—we have empathy. Those who drive gas cars are not trying to destroy the planet, but are simply in the process of evolution. The process of becoming more.
Electric cars and their brotherly alternatives are about the longevity of the species—a significant step in raising consciousness to the level of giving instead of getting. Other processes include littering, being vegetarian, kindness and respect.
The only reason this takes so long to evolve is that people are still steeped in fearful thoughts. Change is uncertain. What will happen to me if I change? How will I survive, let alone prosper?
Since we know change is the only constant, then looking at the world from the highest vantage point, we see that the shifting out of the perception of change from fear to prosperity actually causes prosperity. We naturally evolve to see that in order for the planet to become whole and prosperous, all we need to change is our thoughts about it. Our perception of it.
Yes, gas-powered is the new vinyl. But new alternative, clean energy versions are the digital MP3 free upgrades that if you’ll open your mind to, will raise your level of awareness to what’s cool.
Those who embrace this idea of giving to the planet in their own ways and in their own lives will benefit not from their simple one-off decisions, but from a constant stream of positive change that will lift their lives to a new level of prosperity.
Let the old go and let the new in. This requires faith. It requires persistence. It requires you to be more than you are now. And this right here folks, is the real evolution—the act of becoming something greater today than you were yesterday, to advance into a new world of possibilities. And this will most certainly happen much faster with a smile than with the face of fear.
So get out there and make a difference in your own world, one day at a time. Pick up some trash, walk a bit more instead of drive. Eat a little less burger and a little more salad. Because the train to the cool station is leaving and I need someone cool to sit next to me.
