There was no slowing down the speeding freight train known as the Palisades High JV football team last Friday at Fairfax.
Xavier Smith ran for a touchdown and scored on a 60-yard screen pass from Dylan Hassid, Eli Ghodooshim caught a touchdown pass from Hassid and Maurice Burgess scored on a five-yard run. Barrett Gordon ran for a score and Amari Yolas returned a kickoff 75 yards to cap a 44-16 win that made this the highest-scoring JV team in school history—racking up 353 points in eight games.
The defense allowed only six touchdowns all year and 21 different players scored a touchdown.
“We had five players called up to varsity for league, five more for playoffs,” Coach Ray Marsden said. “This freshman class is deep and talented. The future is bright!”
