Born and raised in Los Angeles, Edwin “Ted” Inglis Mosher, Jr. attended University High School and was a sailor in the Navy before graduating from UCLA in 1952 with a BS in business administration. Throughout his life, Ted remained active in the UCLA Alumni Association as well as the Sigma Nu fraternity.
Ted had two daughters, Karen and Dana, from his first marriage to Jean, and two daughters, Megan and Erin, from his second marriage to Ruthie. In addition to his four daughters, Ted had 10 grandchildren: Michelle, Kelsey, Tyler, Austin, Peyton, Hunter, Blake, Kyle, Chase and Hayden.
After working in management for the Aeroquip Corporation, in 1965, Ted and his partner, Clyde, began their own company, Jacobsen and Mosher, where they worked as sales representatives dedicated to the heavy-duty truck Original Equipment Manufacturers.
Ted loved the ocean and was a member of the Malibu Yacht Club, California Yacht Club and Outrigger Canoe Club in Hawaii. Ted sailed his P-Cat boat around the world, and spent countless hours on the beach. He also
developed a passion for skiing, and enjoyed spending time at his second home in the Sun Valley, Idaho area.
Although Ted lived most of his life in Pacific Palisades where he was a longtime member of the Bel Air Bay Club, he spent his last years with his daughter in Portland, Oregon, where he was well cared for by the staff at the Pearl Memory Care.
