All season long Jack Dyett has been the go-to guy for the Brentwood School football team. On Friday night, however, the receiver was called on to play quarterback in place of injured starter Cole Lourd and despite never having taken a snap under center the Dartmouth commit and Huntington resident played all game, leading the Eagles to a 37-25 victory with seven completions for 133 yards, two touchdown passes, zero interceptions and 68 yards rushing for a 108.2 quarterback rating.
Dyett has 43 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns and he is averaging 12.6 yards per reception. He had five catches for 70 yards in Brentwood’s loss to Palisades in the Sunset Showdown on Sept. 20.
