Dear Vany,
It’s sooo hard to concentrate in virtual classes. How do you stay focused?
Thank you,

Dear Anonymous,
I completely understand! It’s very difficult to concentrate during all of the zoom classes!
My favorite way to stay focused is using fidget toys. You can play with these without even looking down at your hands. They come in all different shapes and sizes, and you can even make them.
Another thing I like to do is doodle. Doodling lets me have something to do with my hands, while still listening to the teacher.
Even though virtual class is boring, you’ll get through it! We will definitely appreciate every day when we all go back to real school!
Thank you for writing!

Dear Vany,
I think I need a new hobby to stay busy during the weekends. What do you recommend?
I love your advice!

Dear Anonymous,
Thank you so much for your question and for the nice compliment!
One of my favorite hobbies is lettering. If you’re not familiar with lettering, it’s basically calligraphy but a bit more graphic. I’ve made sunset, avocado, strawberry, pineapple, donut, cow-print, cactus, and so many more types of letters.
I learned how to do this from YouTube and TikTok, and I really recommend you trying it. This has kept me busy for hours on end.
Another thing I recommend is baking: brownies, cakes, cupcakes, pies, cookies. There are endless possibilities of super yummy foods that you can productively bake!!
I’m sure you’ll find a cure to your boredom if you keep trying new things!
Thank you so much for writing!
Vany
