Pali High cross country runner Jack Hockley talks about winning the first league meet.
It was Dolphin domination last Thursday at Kenneth Hahn Park, where Palisades High’s cross country teams won all four races easily in their first Western League meet.
Junior Jack Hockley won the varsity boys race in 18 minutes flat, followed by teammates Jakob Pollack, Connor Smith and Carlos Flores.
Sophomore Ben Hamer won the frosh/soph division race in 19:04 and ninth-grader Brent Smith was second, followed by Finn Cawley, Jake Greanias, Joey Reed and Oscar Gagne.
Palisades swept the top six places in the varsity girls race, with all six runners crossing the finish line together in 23:45.
Junior Kiana Billot won, followed by Tatum Colby, Emma Ulfvengren, Ariel Pollack, Shannon Lee and Chelsea Levi.
Pacing the frosh/soph girls division were sophomore Kimia Samandi (22:58) and freshman Brittany Darrow (22:59).
