According to L.A. Bureau of Street Services division manager Greg Spotts, long-awaited surface preparation will begin on Chattanooga Avenue tomorrow, July 19, and then continue onto Akron Street, in the Marquez neighhborhood.
Street resurfacing will take place on Chattanooga starting at the dead end north of Chalet Terrace to Akron. Akron will be resurfaced from Bienveneda Avenue to Lachman Lane.
The actual street paving is expected to begin on July 25 or 26, depending on crew availability, weather conditions and other factors.
On Tuesday, July 23, the street in front of 16536 Chattanooga Place will be repaired by removal of existing pavement to expose tree roots, pruning of the roots and resurfacing using new hot-mix asphalt. Residents are urged to observe adhere temporary “No Parking” signs during the process.
