Two months after its grand opening, new stores continue to open shop at the new Palisades Village as the project nears full occupancy.
Cynthia Rowley, the latest New York City-based tenant to open its doors on Friday, Nov. 23, offers women’s dresses and beach apparel.
“The brand’s signature pretty-meets-sporty assortment features ready-to-wear, surf and swim, fitness, accessories, and home decor,” Rowley’s website says.
“I’m so excited to be a part of the beautiful new Palisades Village,” Cynthia Rowley said in a statement to the Palisadian-Post. “This marks our third store on the West Coast and it couldn’t be any more perfect for our idea of an endless summer, where pretty dresses mix with surf and swim for a night out or a far-flung adventure.”
With some tenants still not open, Palisadians noticed a small gem had sprouted along Swarthmore Avenue in the shape of a Sumo Dog cart, a Japanese fusion hot dog stand.
When the dust from the grand opening settled, the little cart had disappeared both from Palisades Village and its website, without announcement.
“Sumo Dog has been a hit at Palisades Village and we’re so thrilled about the feedback from the community!” said Sumo Dog’s chef and owner Jeffrey Lunak. “We are currently finalizing plans and permits for an updated cart that will help us better accommodate a higher volume of guests.”
Sumo Dog representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
The cart is expected to be up and running after the holidays, but no specific date has been
given.
