Calvary Christian School had its 3rd Annual Cougar Bowl on Wednesday, October 15.
Every year the cougar bowl is held at Calvary and this year the 7th and 8th grade flag football team played against the Windward School team.
It was an action-packed game that ended in a tie: 14-14. Principal Vince Downey says the purpose of the Cougar Bowl is to have the Calvary football players play in front of a larger crowd and to get the school there as a family.
This event shows a vast amount of school spirit and is something people of any age can attend. Downey compares Cougar Bowl to a homecoming game except this is for middle school.
Although the game was the highlight, the event included food and half-time activities. I am already anticipating next year’s game.
Let’s go, Calvary Cougars!
