Through a special partnership with Westside Food Bank, Calvary Christian School has donated almost 400 turkeys to local families, exceeding Calvary’s numbers from previous years.
Westside Food Bank representative Allison Griffith recently confirmed that Calvary is the greatest provider of Thanksgiving turkeys to their Santa Monica-based organization.
While Calvary enjoys being recognized for academic and athletic accomplishments, accolades for giving and service are among their proudest achievements.
Glen Abel, manager of the Palisades neighborhood Vons store on Sunset Blvd. and Pacific Coast Highway once again generously partnered with Calvary by offering special pricing to families that were buying turkeys to donate.
As families pulled through morning carpool and dropped off a frozen turkey, they were greeted by students and offered a hot cup of coffee, courtesy of the Starbucks on Palisades Drive. The generosity of these local businesses is evidence of the incredible relationships that the Palisades community shares.
