Calvary Christian School’s annual Christmas Boutique makes its return on Friday, November 15, in an effort to give back to the community and “kick off the gift giving season,” according to a press release.
The school will have local celebrity chefs, Pamela Salzman, a natural foods cooking instructor and author, and Erin McKenna, founder of Baby Cakes, sampling food and signing books as well as food and drinks available for purchase from Erewhon and Alfred.
The event will also be contributing to local community service initiatives like the Giving Tree, where Palisades can buy gifts for foster children, and The Resale Shop, where 100% of proceeds go toward local charities.
The boutique is expected to feature over 60 pop-ups, selling everything from women’s apparel to home goods and children’s toys. Some vendors lined up to attend include 27 Miles Malibu, Frankie’s on the Park, Golden Tote women’s apparel, Faherty and Leisure Society, to name a few.
A raffle will also give holiday shoppers an opportunity to win cash prizes, gift certificates to local restaurants, and tickets to several sporting events and theme parks.
In the past, the event has drawn notice for creating a “Shark Tank”-type competition for middle school students to present a product they developed to a board made up of parents and students and discussed projected sales and production costs.
“Thank you to our event chair, Jackie Dunne, and to the incredible team of volunteers who are helping make this boutique another great success,” the school says on its website. “We could not do it without your vision and expertise.”
The boutique can be found at 701 Palisades Drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
